Not all surfaces are created equal, so not all exterior surfaces should be cleaned the same way.
High pressure is great for concrete, but not on your siding or your roof. That’s where soft washing has really revolutionized exterior cleaning.
With typical Pressure Washing you’re putting direct high pressure onto the surface to remove stains, buildup or algae. With soft washing, you’re using high-volume, low-pressure and cleaning agents to do the work in place of high pressure. Oftentimes we are using our Pressure Washing machines to do this through a system called “downstreaming” or using a dedicated Soft Wash system with a separate pump. At the end of the day, we’re using high volume water and cleaning solutions instead of high pressure. Why would you do that, can’t you just blast the grime away? We sure could, but that would be at the detriment to your property. When it boils down to it, we want to “do no harm”, to your siding, your roof, your plants, or your home in any way. High pressure can not only damage the integrity of siding or shingles, but it can create a whole bunch of other problems if not done correctly. Oftentimes using high pressure can even void warranties on siding or shingles, and on such an expensive investment we don’t want to see our customers take that risk. Lastly, most of the gross growth you see on your home is just algae. It may be black, green, brown but it’s all typically algae or organic growth. Our job is to KILL the organic growth, not just remove it. High pressure will REMOVE it but may not actually KILL it, allowing it to come right back. Our eco-friendly cleaning solutions not only KILL it but prevent future growth from happening, hopefully lengthening the time before your next wash.

Short answer is yes, if used improperly. However, keeping in line with our dedication to providing you with the best experience, we absolutely take proper precautions with any plants and property.We use varying strengths of solutions based on the project’s requirements, and we make sure that our plant and property protection (PNP) is paramount!  

Water consumption is a common question, but an easy one to answer. We do use your water, yes. But we travel with a good amount of our own in a very large tank, mostly to maintain a certain amount of pressure. Your water is then connected to our tank to make sure it stays at a certain level. This makes things more time and cost effective for all of us. If you do the math, the amount of water used on a typical house wash may end up costing the homeowner between $4-6 in water on their water bill.

Absolutely yes! We pride ourselves on safety and professionalism in all that we do. In the event of an accident or unfortunate event we absolutely do carry a GL policy to cover the business we conduct. Happy to issue a Certificate of Insurance to anyone who requests one as well.

There are a few things homeowners may not consider when pressure washing their homes with store bought units. When water pressure is involved, there are a myriad of safety and knowledge concerns that may not be addressed by the private consumer. Even with something as simple as concrete, it is possible to easily “etch” your concrete, something that is not able to be remedied. Siding, if oxidized and washed with a wand and high pressure may result in horribly noticeable “pencil marks” left on the siding. Please don’t pressure wash your siding if it’s oxidized, you may regret it. And obviously the roof, ladders in general just not necessary we’d love to come and help. Not all equipment is created equally, and with high pressure the simplest of slip-ups can cause damage or injury. Hiring a professional is a great idea because they come with the knowledge and expertise to consider the best levels of pressure and approach for different conditions and materials.

Absolutely, we are happy to service areas outside of our “home base” please don’t hesitate to ask us. Depending on the scope of the job, if you have pictures available of what you’re hoping to have cleaned, an in-person estimate is nice but not always necessary to schedule.

No. We enjoy getting to meet future customers and hear your needs in person but understand that’s not always possible. With your permission we stop by and take a quick peek around the perimeter of the home, inspect the areas you’ve mentioned and get back to you with an estimate usually the same day. We are always in our gear, so we are easily identified and don’t creep out your neighbors. We do offer estimates over the phone if we can get a good idea of the scale of the project via Google Maps or pictures provided from you. But we welcome the in person estimate so we can get up close and “see what we’re working with”. It gives us a better idea of which products and machines we’ll need to get the job done.
